the most notable of all the Turkish traditional art forms. They
are a gift to the world from our skilled and industrious women
folk.
During my 30 years in
the carpet business, although there have been hundreds of books
written on the subject I have never found one that, without going
into too much detail, could give a resume of the essential
knowhow.
This book is based on
various educational programs that have been used to train hundreds
of potential carpet dealers.
Even though this book
has the title “ The Carpet Dealers’ Handbook ” it will also
provide useful information to those who are interested in
hand-woven carpets and kilims.
